Title:
Industrial Math and Measures
Description:
This is a four day introductory course in Mathematics and Measures. Emphasis is placed on working with whole numbers, fractions, mixed numbers, decimal fractions, and introductory algebraic equations needed to solve industrial mathematical applications, and the units of measure used to identify many of these variables. The class will begin with simple problems involving whole numbers, gradually work its way through fractions and decimals, and then to more complex problems involving algebraic equations needed to solve problems for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical applications. Measures discussed will include units for: Length, Area, Volume, Velocity, Volumetric Flow Rate, Pressure, Work, Power, Horsepower, Electrical Current Flow, Electrical Pressure, Electrical Resistance, and Electrical Power.
