The topics covered in this four day course include: evaluating maintenance organizational options for different plants, including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM); establishing and operating a manual or computerized work order system; determining realistic priorities when everything must be done "right now"; properly utilizing critical work order codes; planning jobs and controlling materials for maintenance work orders; using the work order backlog to determine manpower requirements; dispatching craft personnel to emergency and non-emergency work orders; supervising maintenance craft personnel effectively; using the weekly schedule to drive toward better performance; establishing a practical preventive maintenance (PM) program; evaluating Predictive Maintenance (PdM) opportunities; understanding the importance of ownership; and taking advantage of downtime.
